SA Gymnastics film headed for US
A South Australian film about gymnastics has been chosen to be screened at the International Family Film Festival in Hollywood.
Film Plot
Maddy Cornell is 12 years old, quiet and lacks self-confidence, but her new coach Kate sees in her exceptional talent just waiting to come out.
Maddy in competitions always loses to Chelsea Smith. Chelsea is everything Maddy isn't. Extremely confident, with wealthy parents and self-appointed queen of the school they both attend.
Chelsea targets Maddy at school, bullying and harassing her.

When coach Kate attends her first competition with her new team to her amazement she finds her once friend Sally is the head judge.
It soon becomes clear Kate and Sally have history and Sally still blames Kate for an accident many years ago, and takes it out on Kate by downgrading Maddys scores.
This infurates Kate as she sees in Maddy a second chance to make up for what she missed out on. Maddy inspired by Kate's support and together with a new relationship with a gymnast Joshua believes she has a chance to be the gymnast she wants to be.
When it is announced the winner of the final competition will gain entry into the National Gymnastics Team the rivalry and jealousy become intense.
For Kates team to win they need extra help and fast.
Kate enlists assistance from an elite boys coach Shane who puts the girls through ingenious and unique training techniques.
The final competition is to be 'a second chance' for all.
