Gymnastics South Australia appoints Nastashia Buck as General Manager

Gymnastics South Australia today announced the appointment of Nastashia Buck as its new General Manager.

In making the announcement, Gymnastics South Australia Chair, Russell D'Costa said “Nastashia’s experience and track record in achieving high quality outcomes in our sport and corporate industries, demonstrated to the Board that she is the best person to lead the future growth of Gymnastics and KinderGym in South Australia."

In accepting the role, an excited Buck, a former gymnast herself, commented:

“Gymnastics offers so many benefits, particularly in developing fundamental movement skills, transferable to all aspects of life. South Australia leads the way in KinderGym and I look forward to supporting the community as we enhance the lives of many more South Australian children”. “I very much look forward to leading the team in South Australia to deliver on and maximise this potential.”

D'Costa also commented, "Nastashia’s vision for gymnastics within our state clearly aligned with the Board’s. Her appointment will ensure that in an ever changing competitive environment we are best placed to deliver a high quality value proposition to our members with a strong focus on KinderGym and Gym for All participation. Another key focus is the ongoing development of our High Performance Programs which have produced multiple Olympians as well as current World #1 ranked athletes such as Men's Artistic Gymnast, Chris Remkes."

Nastashia’s experience as the Education and Workforce Manager for Gymnastics Victoria, will be invaluable in increasing our coach, leader, official and volunteer workforces which are the lifeblood of our organisation, Mr D’Costa said.

Buck commences in the role on March 26th.
