Gymnastics SA Performance Pathways

Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Accelerated Pathway

We're excited to move forward in 2020 with a refreshed pathway for the WAG athletes, coaches and clubs in South Australia. The updated WAG Accelerated Performance Pathways model has been developed with expertise from Regan Molyneaux. Regan currently works with Gymnastics Australia as the WAG National Pathways Coach and we're excited to have her on board in South Australia in a consulting capacity.

The new pathway will provide more opportunities for identifying more athletes (and coaches) and allow them to be tracked and further developed to achieve outcomes for our state and country, regardless of geographical location.

Clubs with previously identified athletes will be receiving an email with invitations into each relevant squad.

If a club believes that an athlete meets the criteria and has not yet been identified please contact Tammy Johnson who will work closely with the WAG SMC Talent Pathways Coordinator, Danica Mladenovic.

Gymnastics SA will be hosting a WAG Development Squad Trial Session for athletes aged 6-10 years old on Saturday, 15 February 2020. To register attendance please complete form here
