To promote and develop participation in Gymsports from grass roots to elite through the provision of best quality programs, products and services.

To foster and promote all Gymsports and ensure Gymsports are recognised as a sport for everyone.

Gymnastics SA is a committed, competent and motivated organisation, serving the best interests of its members and the Gymsports through:

  • Working cooperatively and strategically with key stakeholders in the planning and delivery of its services;

Gymnastics South Australia Incorporated (trading as Gymnastics SA) is the peak body for Gymnastics in South Australia and is affiliated with Gymnastics Australia.

Gymnastics SA is an Incorporated, not-for-profit association, comprising affiliated clubs, life members, registered athletes and technical members (coaches and judges).

Gymnastics SA is governed by a volunteer Board of Management. Day to day management is Administered by the State Office staff.

Gymnastics SA embraces seven Gymsports, they are:

  • Men's Artistic Gymnastics;

  • Women's Artistic Gymnastics;

  • Rhythmic Gymnastics;

  • General Gymnastics including Kindergym and Cheerleading;

  • Sport Aerobics;

  • Trampoline Sports;

  • Sports Acrobatics.

Each Gymsport is managed by a volunteer Sports Management Committee (SMC) who work in partnership with the Board and Staff to service approximately 14,000 members.

The Gymsports, as well as providing for elite gymnasts, are well positioned to promote a healthy lifestyle and active participation for athletes of varying levels of ability. The Gymsports also serve to provide athletes with a foundation of skills that can contribute to success in complementary sports e.g. Diving, Pole Vaulting, Aerial Skiing, Dance, Skating and other sports that involve general aerial activity.
