Burnside KG1 2009

Each year we chose a different theme and dress our trailer and committee children up to promote our theme .The children sit on the trailer amongst all the beautifully decorated kindergym equipment while some parents sit beside them, and some walk along beside waving and handing out kindergym leaflets promoting the next year to prospective parents in the crowd. The leader and administrative officer dress up as well and walk in front of the kindergym float with the banner .In the past few years, we have had music on our float (often difficult to hear if we have a pipe band in front of us) and the bigger committee children do a great job with the bubble machines. It is a really happy occasion leading up to Christmas and bringing the year to an end.

 

It is a great event to be part of- we see many past members in the crowd- some as old as 16,who still wave and call out and a great way to keep our profile out there in the community for those at the other end of the scale who are ready to join us.
