Recreational/Gym For All
This is a beginner program that offers participants a gymnastics experience in a fun and friendly environment. During each class participants explore the many different ways in which their bodies can move. This not only improves fitness but will also provide each participant with sound fundamentals for any other sport they choose to play. This program's aim is to develop strength, flexibility, coordination, spatial awareness and balance through the Fun, Fitness, Fundamentals and Friendship (4 F's) philosophy with special emphasis placed on safety.

Level 1 - 3
This is the entry level to the National Levels Program common in many GymSports. This program creates both attainable goals and challenging objectives for both the beginner and proficient gymnast. The Level 1 - 3 Program offers a great variety of skills to broaden the basic knowledge and movement experiences of each gymnast. The number one objective of this program is participation and all who participate are encouraged to have fun.

Level 7 - 10
This program is specifically aimed at competent and experienced gymnasts. The level of skill requirement is much higher and participants may compete for their State in National Competitions / Championships. The Level 7 - 10 Program is a progressive and developmental system providing athletes with the opportunity to move through the levels at their own pace.
# The most appropriate GymSport Coaching Accreditation is Men's Gymnastics Level 2
International:
This program is based on rules governed by the International Federation of Gymnastics (FIG). There are different categories for different age groups with Senior International athletes being eligible for Olympic Games and World Championships. Athletes are usually identified at an early age to participate in this program. Most International Gymnasts have been trained through a junior developmental program.

# The most appropriate GymSport Coaching Accreditation is Rhythmic Gymnastics Level 2+
Gymnastics For All includes a wide range of program areas and activities, that in the main involve team activities. The program includes all the recreational components of the sport, along with being a sport in it's own right and incorporating a range of competition elements such as AusTeams. In the main the Gymsport can be categorised into two key areas, being:-
- Apparatus Gymnastics (eg: Traditional & Non-traditional apparatus & hand apparatus)
- Gymnastics & Dance (eg: Fitness Aerobics, jazz dance)
Kindergym
Infants aged 0-5 years of age participating in a movement based program.
Children
Children aged 5-12 years of age participating in a recreational gymnastics program that is usually introductory in nature and could be based on National resources such as Gym Fun.
Youth
Athletes aged 12-18 years of age participating in gymnastic programs that again may be introductory in nature, involve team work such as displays or AusTeam and could be based on National resources such as GymSkills.
Adult
Athletes aged 18+ years of age participating in gymnastic programs for recreational or competitive purposes. Again, the events entered may involve display, AusTeam or master competitions.
Senior
Athletes aged 50+ years of age participating in movement based programs, usually known as "gentle gym" and again, the events entered may involve display work or participation may be purely for fitness and social interaction.
Levels
In 2008 a new levels structure for Gymnastics For All, known as GymMix, was released. This program allows children, youth and adults to progress through levels of increasing difficulty and links into all of the events currently offered within Gymnastics For All such as GymFests, AusTeams and Cheerleading.
Cheerleading
Cheerleading is a growing area within Gymnastics For All and may involve children through to adults. A levels scheme is available for this program area.
Special Needs
This category is for any individual with a disability participating within a specialised program or a mainstream general gymnastics class.

Sport Aerobics is the ability to perform continuous complex and high intensity movement patterns to music, which originate from traditional aerobic dance. Sport Aerobics caters for all ages and abilities and consists of many different competition categories including; individuals, mixed pairs, trios and groups. The latest trend to hit Sport Aerobics is AEROSkools which offers school aged children the opportunity to participate in State and National events through a structured levels program of compulsory routines.
# The most appropriate GymSport Coaching Accreditation is Sport Aerobics Level 1
Individual Trampoline (Olympic Discipline) is an event that comprises of flight and height. Aimed at the beginner and proficient gymnast this discipline includes a skill-based competitive program. Competition routines consist of 10 elements including somersaults and twists, requiring a combination of balance, strength, courage, elegance and precision in technique and agility.
Double Mini Tramp
This discipline is for beginners and proficient gymnasts. It is known for it's difficulty and precision. Developed from the common Mini-tramp, this narrow but long apparatus is performed after a 20 metre run up. High level athletes will perform double or triple somersaults, some with twists.
Tumbling
Once again aimed at the beginner and proficient gymnast this discipline is a skill based program aimed at improving spatial awareness, fitness, power, agility and coordination. In competition, 8 elements are performed without hesitation along a 26 metre sprung floor. Double and triple somersaults with twists are common at International events. Flips and whips will make up the remainder of the routine.
