Trampoline Activities

Trampoline Sports consists of four competitive events and the athlete may choose to specialise in one or more of these

Individual trampoline

The athlete performs one compulsory exercise of 10 elements and one voluntary exercise of 10 elements, which makes up the preliminary competition. The top 10 athletes in OPEN competition or the top 6 in AGE competition perform one more 10 element voluntary exercise in the finals.
Performance is judged by the athlete's body form as well as the height of the bouncing. A degree of difficulty score is added to reach a total exercise score.

Synchronised trampoline (synchro)

Each athlete performs the same, one compulsory exercise of 10 elements and one voluntary exercise of 10 elements on trampolines which are placed side by side and this makes up the preliminary competition. The top 10 in OPEN and top six in AGE perform one more 10 element voluntary exercise in the finals.
The performance is judged by the athlete's body form as well as the height of the bouncing and the synchronisation of each bounce. A degree of difficulty is added to reach a total exercise score.

Double Mini Trampoline (DMT)

The bed of a Double Mini Trampoline is around 3 metres in length and just under a metre wide, there is an approach run of 20 metres and a landing area of 6 metres. The athlete performs 2 voluntary exercises of 2 elements each in the preliminary competition. The top 10 athletes in OPEN competition or the top 6 in AGE competition performs 2 different voluntary exercises of 2 elements each in the finals. Performance is judged by the athlete's body form and the height of the bouncing. A degree of difficulty score is added to reach a total exercise score.

Tumbling

Tumbling is performed on a 26 metre long x 2 metre wide tumbling track with a 10 metre approach and a 6 metre landing area. The athlete performs 2 (8) element voluntary exercises, one with twisting and one without twisting in the preliminary competition. The top 10 athlete's in OPEN competitor and the top 6 in AGE competition will perform one more 8 element voluntary combination exercise in the final.
Performance is judged by the athletes body form as well as the height and direction of the tumbling. A degree of difficulty score is added to reach a total score.
